In Arabic, fasting is called fasting. Its lexical meaning is to refrain. In the terminology of Islam, fasting is called: The person who is suitable for fasting is to abstain from food and drink, sexual intercourse, and all these related matters for the sake of fasting from dawn to dusk. Ramadan fasting is obligatory according to the consensus of all Muslim Ummah. It is a sin for a poet to leave the fast of Ramadan without a reason supported by the Shari'ah. (Surah: Baqara, verses: 183-184, Tatar Khaniya: Kha. 3, page. 350)

Roger's Intentional Masal(রোজার নিয়তসংক্রান্ত মাসায়েল)-

Reasons why fasting is obligatory( যেসব কারণে রোজার কাজা ওয়াজিব )-

  • Eat raw rice, flour yeast, or a lot of salt together. (Alamgiri: Kha. 1, page. 199)
  • Eating something that is not usually eaten. Such as wood, iron, paper, stone, soil, coal, etc. (Alamgiri: b. 1, page.202. Zawahiri Fiqh, Kha. 1, page. 378)
  • Swallowing stones, clay, gravel, cotton-yarn, weeds, straw, and paper. (Alamgiri: Kha. 1, page. 203)
  • Swallow with your own spit. (Alamgiri: Kha. 1, page. 202)
  • Smoking bidis, cigarettes, or hookah. (Zawahirul Fiqh: Kha. 1, page. 378)
  • Applying liquid medicine to the ear or nasal cavity. (Emdadul Fatawa: Kha. 2, page. 127)

  • If a person engages in sexual intercourse with the idea of ​​night, then in the morning when he finds out about Sadiq, he immediately abstains from sexual intercourse. (Shami: Kha. 3, page. 374)
  •  If rain or ice falls into the esophagus.(Alamgiri: Kha. 1, page. 203)

Reasons why fasting is makrooh(যেসব কারণে রোজা মাকরুহ হয়)- 

(A) Lying. (B) Giving false testimony.
(C) Gossiping or engaging in guilt.
(D) swearing falsely.
(E) Speaking obscenely or doing obscene acts.
(F) to oppress.
(G) To have enmity with someone.
(H) To look at the bride, to associate with her.
(I) Watching movies - everything is illegal.

  • It is very important to abstain from all sinful deeds except the above. For these reasons, fasting is not broken, but it is makrooh. Of course, the rewards are less. (Zawahirul Fatawa: Kha. 1, page. 22; Zawahirul Fiqh: Kha. 1, page. 379; Bukhari, Hadith No. 1903)

  • Tasting or chewing an object without any inability. (Shami: Kha.  3, page. 395)
  • Chewing something without any hesitation and putting it in the baby's mouth. (Fathul Qadir: Kha.  2, page. 349)
  • Taste the taste of honey or oil while trading without any need. (Alamgiri: Kha.  1, page. 199)
  • Kissing the wife despite the risk of intercourse or ejaculation. (Alamgiri: Kha.  1, page.  200)
  • Swallow a large amount of saliva in the mouth. (Binayah: Kha.  4, page. 294)
  • Expressing restlessness due to excessive hunger or thirst. (Shami: Kha.  3, page.  400)
  • Use ointment, charcoal, rose, toothpaste. (Zawahirul Fiqh: Kha.  1, page.  379)
  • Applying antimony or mustache oil for arrogance. (Alamgiri)
  • Washing the toilet so much with water that there is a risk of water leaking inside. (Alamgiri: Kha. 1,page. 119)
  • Fasting without the permission of the employer for the worker if there is a risk of loss.
  • It is makrooh to have a tooth extracted by a doctor without the need. If blood or toothpaste enters the stomach, which is equal to or more than saliva, then the fast will be broken. (Ahsanul Fatawa: Kha.  4, page.  426)
  • It is makrooh to do any action that leads the body to weakness. (Shami: Kha. 3, page. 400)
  • It is makrooh to do coolie without Aju for fasting. (Al-Wal Waliziyah: Kha. 1, page. 227)

Reasons why Kaza and kaffarah are obligatory( যেসব কারণে কাজা কাফ্ফারা ওয়াজিব )-   

  • Intentionally having intercourse. (Bukhari, Hadith: 1801)
  • Intentionally eating or drinking something that is commonly used as food or medicine. (Alamgiri: Kha. 1, page.  205)
  • If he eats and drinks after intentionally backbiting, then both Kaza and kaffara are obligatory on him. (Fath al-Qadir: Kha.  2, page.  380)
  • If the fasting a person engages in homosexuality, then both Kaza-kaffarah are obligatory on him. (Al-Wal Waliyyah: Kha. 1, page. 223)
  • If a man has sexual intercourse with a woman by force, then only Kaza wajib is on the woman, not kaffara. And Kaza-kaffarah is obligatory on men. (Al-Wal Waliyyah: Kha.  1, page.  224)

Reasons for not breaking the fast, not Makrooh( যেসব কারণে রোজা ভাঙে না, মাকরুহও হয় না )-

  • Forgetting to eat or have sex (Shami: Kha.  3, page. 365)
  • If the erring a person has the power to fast, then remind him of fasting. And if you do not have the strength to fast, then it is better not to remember. (Al-Wal Waliyyah: Kha. 1, page. 202)
  • Inadvertently getting smoke, dust, mosquitoes, and flies in the throat. (Shami: Kha. 3, page. 366)
  • Oil, antimony, if the horn is applied to the throat. (Shami: Kha.  3, page.  366)
  • Nightmares. (Tirmidhi: Hadith 719)
  • Meswalk at any time, whether raw or dry. (Alamgiri: Kha.  1,page. 199)
  • If any dirt comes out as a result of sticking the ear with the stick, then the dirty stick is repeatedly inserted in the ear. (Shami: Kha.  3, page. 367)
  • Chana plays something stuck in the gap between the teeth smaller than the boot. (Shami: Kha.  3, page. 367)
  • If blood comes out of the teeth and goes to the halo. If the amount of saliva is too much, then the fast will be broken. (Shami: Kha.  3, page.  368)
  •  Apply oil on body, head, beard, and mustache. (Alamgiri: Kha. 1, page.  199)

  • Swallowing saliva in the mouth. (Nawazil: page.  150)

  •  Sweat on the forehead or a few drops of tears reaches the throat. Do not break the fast. (Binaya: Kha.  4, page.  294)
  •  If any medicine is kept in the place of shame before the beginning of fasting. Then the fast can be broken. (Rahimiya: Kha.  4, page.  294)
  • Any kind of injection or vaccination. However, it is makrooh to inject or vaccinate by which the pain or weakness of fasting is removed. (Zawahirul Fiqh: Kha.  1, page.  379)
  •  If the blood is taken out by injection, the fast will not be broken. And if there is no fear of weakness, there will be no Makrooh.
  •  If saliva remains in the sputum despite the well-cooled after drinking, then fasting will not be makrooh. (Emdadul Fatawa: Kha.  2, page. 131)
  •  It is not makrooh to put wet clothes on the body or to cool down, to give water to the nose, or to take a bath. (Shami: Kha. 3, page. 394; Darul Uloom: Kha.  6, page.  405; Bukhari)
  • If bathing is obligatory in dreams or intercourse and Subeh intends to fast without taking a bath before Sadiq, then there will be no difficulty in her fasting. (Zawahirul Fiqh: Kha.  1, page. 380)

  •  If the doctor inserts a dry medical device into the abdomen and then removes it, the fast will not be broken. (Al-Fiqhul Hanafi)
  •  After dipping in water, if water gets inside the ear or if the water is given intentionally, fasting is not makrooh. (Binaya: Kha.  4, page.  294; Alamgiri: Kha.  1, page. 204)
  •  If ejaculation occurs just because of sight in biological arousal, then fasting will not be invalidated. (Ahkame Zindagi, page. 249)

Reasons for breaking the fast ( যেসব কারণে রোজা ভেঙে ফেলার অনুমতি আছে ):

  •  If he becomes ill and does not have the strength to fast, or if the illness is aggravated by fasting, then it is permissible for him not to fast. But yes, whenever he recovers, it is obligatory on him to fast. (Aapke Masael: Kha.  3, page.  202)
  • A person who becomes so weak that he does not have the strength to fast. (Aapke Masael: Kha.  3, page. 203)
  •  Feels so hungry or thirsty that the soul is about to die. (Alamgiri: Kha. 1, page.  207)
  •  It is permissible for a pregnant or lactating woman to break her fast if she fears the death of herself or her baby. (Alamgiri: Kha.  1, page.  207)
  •  If he is unable to earn a living due to fasting, he is allowed to break the fast. However, it will have to work later. If that is not possible, he will pay the ransom and will pay the ransom by donating the amount of fitr in charity instead of every fast. (Shami: Kha.  3, page.  400)
  • Similarly in case of harvesting. If it is not possible to harvest the crop while fasting. On the other hand, if it is late, the crop will be ruined. Then it is permissible not to fast and to work at another time. (Shami: Kha.  3, page.  400)

Women's Roger Masala ( নারীদের রোজার মাসায়েল )-

  • Women should not fast except in Ramadan without the permission of their husbands. (Tirmidhi: Hadi No. 782)
  • The girl who has reached the age of puberty but does not express it due to shame and does not fast. Then it is obligatory on him to repent and make up missed fasts.
  • If the woman sees the moisture and purity of her menstrual cycle. By which he realizes that he is now going to be Pak. Then he will make the intention of fasting at night. And if there is no sign of holiness, then put cotton inside. If it is clean, then fast. If the menstrual blood comes a second time, the fast will be broken.
  •  If the woman understands according to her habit that her menstruation will be issued tomorrow. Even then he will not break the fast. Until he sees her menstrual blood. (Aapke Masael: Kha.  3, page.  278)
  •  It is better for a menstruating woman to stay in her normal state. To be content with what Allaah has decreed for him. Not using anything that stops the bleeding.
  • Rather, giving up fasting during menstruation. Then work. Because this is what the women of Umm al-Muminin and Aqab have done. And if the blood is stopped with medicine, it will still be fasting. (Aapke Masael: Volume 3, Page 207)
  • If a woman with nefaz becomes Pak before 40 days, then she should fast and take a bath for prayers.
  • And if blood continues even after 40 days have elapsed, then he should fast and take a bath. Because his blood will be considered as istehaja (disease). (Beheshti Jeor: Page: 160, Sharhe Bekaya: B. 1, page.  120)
  • If a woman with menstruation becomes pure before the sun sets and intends to fast, then her duty will not be fulfilled. (Shami: Kha. 3, page: 385)

Kaza Roger Masyala ( কাজা রোজার মাসয়ালা )-

  • If the fast of Ramadan is completed, it is necessary to perform it as soon as possible after Ramadan. It is a sin to delay without an excuse. (Surat al-Baqara, verse 184, Ma'areful Qur'an, page. 93)
  • Niyyat should be done before Sadiq in the morning for Kaza Roza. Otherwise, Kaza Roza will not be pure. (Beheshti Jeor, page.  201; Kuduri, page. 79)
  • It is mustahab to keep the number of fasts that have been performed continuously.

Masala of Kaffara ( কাফ্ফারার মাসয়ালা )-

The expiation for the fast of Ramadan Sharif is to fast for two months and 60 days at a time. If for some reason the fast is broken in the middle, keep 60 fasts again. Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT ain't for me either.

Tarabi's provision ( তারাবির বিধান ) -

  • Tarabi Sunnah Muakkada. (Ajnarul Fatawa: Kha.3, page. 525)
  •  Recitation of 20 rak'ats of Tarabi is Muakkada in Sunnah, not eight rak'ats. Because of Nabi Karim (peace be upon him), Kholafaye Rasheda and all the Companions used to recite Tarabi for 20 rak'ats. (Umdatul Qari, Kha.12, page.  183) The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to recite Tahajjud for eight rak'ats. (Bukhari, Hadith No. 1148)
  • It is sunnat to finish the Qur'an once in Tarabi. (Zawahirul Fiqh: Kha. 1, page.  28)
  • Not reciting the Qur'an so fast in Tarabi that it is not understood. Doing so will be a sin instead of a reward. (Ahsanul Fatawa: Kha. 3, page.  525)
  •  It is illegal to take or give money after reading Tarabi. There will be no reward. (Book published by Muwaza Alat Tarabi, Darul Uloom Deoband)

Fidiar Masala-

  •  The amount of fitr to be paid in charity if one is unable to fast or perform Kaza is called fidia. (Ma'areful Qur'an: page. 96)
  • The amount of fidia is 12 chhatak of one sere as 80 tola sere (one kg 662 g) wheat or flour or its price has to be paid. However, it is better to pay full two seras (one kg 866 grams or its value.) (Ma'areful Qur'an: page.  96)
  • If a dying elderly person or a person is unable to fast due to a serious illness, he will have to pay a quarter of a gram of wheat or its value instead of each fast. (Zawahirul Fiqh: Kha.1, page.  29)
